A credit is what you spend when someone exports a finished design. One credit is used when a person using your design generator exports a personalised graphic or video — images and videos cost the same — whether they download it, post it to LinkedIn, or share it via Instagram, Facebook, X, WhatsApp, or email (see platform integrations). Opening or filling in a generator costs nothing; only the export counts.
Other actions draw on the same credit allowance at a smaller rate:
- Images rendered through the API in an automation campaign cost 1 credit per 100 images.
- Images rendered from an image URL (the Automate view in the template builder's Share menu) cost 1 credit per 100 images — the same rate as the API.
- Videos rendered through the API or an image URL cost 1 credit per 10 videos.
- Images generated in the Batch Editor cost 1 credit per 10 images, and a video out of the Batch Editor costs 1 credit. The Batch Editor is ten times the API rate on purpose: the API is infrastructure, the Batch Editor is an interactive product surface.
Video is priced per video. Duration, resolution, and frame rate do not change what a render costs.
Actions that never consume credits:
- Exporting the same graphic again within the year; it is only charged once.
- Requesting an API or image URL render that is identical to one already rendered and cached.
- Opening or downloading campaign assets such as logos, PDFs, or videos.
- Exports by logged-in team members in a private campaign.
- Exports made with the password of a team campaign.
- Watermarked exports while your usage is above the allowance.
Your allowance is a yearly amount that resets on your renewal date (Pro) or the anniversary of your signup (Free); unused credits do not carry over. You can see your usage any time under Settings → Billing. You get a notification at 80 % of your allowance, and another when you cross it. On Pro, that second notification names the date the watermark starts and a third follows when the 3-day grace period ends; on Free the watermark applies from the crossing on.
